Xenical Warnings

Posted: Thursday, 28 April, 2011 | Categories: weight loss, xenical

Although there are no hard facts proving that Xenical (weight loss drug) could potentially cause kidney problems, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) may be forcing the pharmaceutical company to sell their product with warnings clearly marked on the box. Kidney problems have never been associated side effects and the recent study that is causing all of the uproar revealed a few cases but the numbers were nowhere near substantial enough to have kidney problems as a cause for concern.

The prescription drug, Xenical is sold as Alli over the counter for weight loss but it is recommended by health care providers and doctors that this accessibility is not really a good idea. Over the counter treatments mean that the progress of the patient will not be monitored and side effects will not be brought to medical attention.

As yet there is no significant research to prove that Xenical can cause kidney problems but this treatment should always be purchased with a prescription.
